While at the 2016 SHOT Show, the folks over at Sharp Shooter 22 Long Rifle Reloader (AKA: 22LRReloader) announced new rimfire reloading kits for the .22 Magnum, .17 HMR, .17 Mach2 and the .17 WSM. These new releases are in addition to their popular .22 Long Rifle reloading kit that has been out a while. Because we are reloaders, and love testing different bullets, and powders to test new loads, we were intrigued when we first heard about their .22 Long Rifle kit. However, when we heard that they were expanding to the other cartridges, including the .22 Magnum, we took notice. The .22 Magnum is a perfect example of lack of choice in the current market. As we explained in our review of the Armscor .22 Magnum ammunition, we appreciated that it was available, and it shot well, but wished for a real varmint hunting bullet. With these new kits, you can resolve that on your own, and choose from a number of bullets available for reloading. The same goes for the other newly available caliber kits.
We have been speaking with Brian Nixon, the owner of 22LRReloader, about possibly adding the 5mm Remington Rimfire to their line of reloading kits.
