Although the Desert Tech TREK-22 was officially released last year, we had the opportunity to talk to Jeff Wood of Desert Tech about this unique bullpup, replacement Ruger 10/22 stock, including their new color offerings in the TREK-22 stock. The TREK-22 is a bullpup stock that can reduce your overall rifle length by 10.25”, while at the same time reducing the weight. This setup uses your existing Ruger 10/22 rifle’s action/barrel and provides you with a drop-in ready, modular stock. In order to install your Ruger 10/22 into the TREK-22 you will need only basic tools. Allen wrenches mainly, for swapping of the stock. Loosen some screws, then tighten some screws, and you’re off to go shooting.
The Trek-22 has built-in storage for 2-10 round magazines. A sling stud in the rear. M-LOK slots on the front with an integral optics rail. The TREK-22 has an overall length of 26.5”, makes this stock a great choice for younger shooters as well. The Varminter crew will be getting one of these stocks and will be putting it to the test on ground squirrels and whatever other varmints who will cooperate. As always, we will get a lot of footage. Check out these stocks and their other unique products over at DesertTech.com.
