Winchester Announces 17WSM Lead Free 20 Grain Ammunition
The weeks leading up to the SHOT Show (Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show) always have exciting releases from the manufacturers. This year’s show is no different, with announcements rolling out almost every day. Today included some very good news for 17WSM shooters in lead free areas, such as California. Winchester announced that they are releasing a new 20 Grain “Power-Core” solid-copper hollow point lead free bullet in their .17WSM (.17 Winchester Super Magnum) rimfire cartridge! This new load has a listed speed of 2875 feet per second, and will calm the nerves of folks who are facing a complete lead ban in their states, which is phasing in over the next few years. Winchester Adds a Solid-Copper 17 Winchester Super Magnum to Rimfire Lineup
EAST ALTON, Ill. – The entry of the 17 Winchester Super Magnum into the world of rimfire offerings in 2013 marked one of the most innovative rimfire introduction in recent history.
